The Cataclysm, caused by Deathwing the Destroyer, tore the entire world of Azeroth (save for Northrend for some reason) asunder. At the height of this destruction, the Horde had begun to seize the opportunity to catch the Alliance off-guard and assault several key areas, such as Ashenvale, Darkshore, and even Hillsbrad. Meanwhile, the ex-warchief Thrall went to Nagrand to go back to his shamanistic heritage, making Garrosh Hellscream the new warchief of the Horde. His savagery may have given him many recent victories, but a rift begins to form between the Horde leaders...
King Varian Wrynn gave a call to arms to all able-bodied citizen of the Alliance to answer to his plea and serve their glorious faction. One of which being a Highborne Mage known as Yi. Though at first he refused Varian's request, (10 times) he did not wish to see the Alliance fall prey to the filth of the Horde, and the recent incursions of Al'Akir, Ragnaros, and the Twilight Council. He finally accepted and returned to Northeastern Kalimdor into the violet-white forests of Winterspring.
Deep within the Hidden Grove he saw an old friend of his: the Snow Flower, Koyuki Kazahana, tending to a garden amidst the ruins of what looked to be a palace. She was happy to see him and informed him of the reconstruction of his home as it was hit by the Cataclysm. Yi thanked her for her aid and helped in the reconstruction.
He also ran into another old friend: the Psychotic Nymph, Nayamashii Furau, who seemed to have been arguing with a Human Death Knight who would soon be a General: Ciraxis. Together, these four rebuilt the palace and named their new order "The Winterspring Requiem." They are a separate section of the Alliance's war efforts stationed within the Northeastern reaches of Kalimdor that seek to forge a new destiny for Azeroth - by putting their perennial enemies, the Horde, along with any other threats in the world, in their place.
(The Winterspring Requiem is a heavy RP guild that takes roleplaying to a new level. RPing will take place in guild chat, raiding, dungeons, and even player-versus-player content. RP events can be either planned or impromptu depending on the situation. We are very active and have helpful officers. We vow to bring some good roleplaying back to the Shadow Council as we continue to grow in numbers. Think you have what it takes to help restore RP back to this realm? Then apply on the website if you wish to do so!)

The Winterspring Requiem, backed by their allies, the Dark Sentinels, marched into the Coilfang Reservoir stronghold of Serpentshrine Cavern. After having occupied the Slave Pens, Underbog, and Steamvaults, the emperor established a forward base camp known as Winter's Breath. There, he waited ever diligently for reinforcements to arrive. As they marched onward, crushing the Naga underfoot, they toppled their generals including the monstrosity held beneath the cavern - The Lurker Below!
With the entire enemy resistance wiped from existance, they advanced onward to the inner sanctum of their perennial enemy - Lady Vashj. After some witty exchanges between Joleigh Leroux, General Ciraxis, and Nayamashii, they battled fiercely. With the aid of Crusaer Tivaria, and High Lieutenant Timlorith, along with the might of the Dark Sentinels, they broke through the defenses of Vashj's magic... and befell her. General Ciraxis, without pity or remorse, beheaded the Naga witch and was bestowed upon Yi for the entire empire to see... The great weight and stress that was once held on the Emperor's shoulders has finally been lifted.
Now, with their rear guard secure, many more enemies await out there on the horizon, but with this victory, Yi continues to work hard for the eventual assault upon Ulduar. Meanwhile, a rather angry Worgen Warrior is beginning to make the scene... Relana Thunderwing, a daughter of the Wildhammer Clan, is the only one with any knowledge of him. Will he aid the Requiem's efforts?

Ulduar, the titan complex tucked deep within the mountains of the Storm Peaks, has been swirling about the emperor's mind since the past year. The city brings forth memories both pleasant and painful. In light of returning there soon, Yi had assigned Winterspring a mission to venture forth into two of Ulduar's dungeons - the Halls of Stone and the Halls of Lightning - to acquire the runic markings and prepare them for battle against the Iron Dwarves (the runes can be seen glowing on the floor of the common area). With the efforts of Nayamashii, Ciraxis, Miyumi, and Tarinitina, they were able to (easily) acquire both runes for the Requiem Palace, giving Yi just a little peace of mind (though they still did it backwards).
After the battle, Miyumi Al'Rhen, Queen of the once-great Al'Rhen kingdom, had asked the emperor of Winterspring to assist her in the reconstruction of her dynasty. She decided to rebuild within the forests of the very area in which they live now: Winterspring. Unsure of her drive and willingness to aid Winterspring, Yi demanded that she assist in the destruction of Lady Vashj and if possible, the breaching of the titan complex. Only then would he consider the Al'Rhen a sister kingdom.
Lady Vashj. The Keepers of Ulduar. Formidable obstacles to be overcome. And with the Al'Rhen's reformation on the line, only time will tell what events will occur in the midst of the Cataclysm...

After Yi's perennial nemesis, Lady Vashj, attacked the Winterspring Palace, she fled after being thwarted by several officers, including Joleigh, Ciraxis, Jeaphery, and Malaphon. In retaliation, the emperor ordered a counterattack upon her stronghold of Coilfang Reservoir beneath Serpent Lake. He figured that in clearing and occupying the Slave Pens, Underbog, and Steamvaults would inscribe another rune onto their palace walls, and in doing so, ward off any attempt of Vashj attacking.
Koyuki Kazahana, the Snow Flower, took the job of leading the attack and with the help of Maladaph, Ciraxis, Tarinitina, and her mother, Nayamashii, they were able to occupy all three areas and acquire the rune of the Coilfang (though they did it backwards), thus setting the stage for the strike upon Serpentshrine Cavern.
Now that Vashj has been backed to a corner, she bolsters her defenses for the coming battle. Once again, and hopefully the final time, Yi's kingdom will attempt to end Lady Vashj... Permanently.

Lady Vashj, Coilfang Matron and lieutenant of Illidan Stormrage, has been a thorn in Yi's side for as long as he can remember. After repelling several of his assaults to crush Coilfang Reservoir's Serpentshrine Cavern, he has developed an incredible vendetta upon the Naga sea witch. Day by day, he hears her taunting him and mocking the imperial army with laughter, causing the emperor to plunge into a state of unrest...
After putting up with her existence for several years, there has been reports of a sunken Highborne city located within the Great Sea: Vashj'ir. This once-great city was the home of Yi's nemesis before it was taken by the Sundering.
Setting his main goal of Ulduar aside, he has redirected all of his attention to Vashj'ir, seeking to delve into the deep recesses of the Great Sea to uncover Vashj's - and Azshara's past, believing that with newfound knowledge, he will finally be able to settle the score with Lady Vashj. Will his people join him in his underwater journey? Or will they answer the call to aid in the defense of Mount Hyjal...?
